Connecting your credit or debit card to Google Pay makes it easy to track your payments in the app. But, What about the payments you don't make with those cards? Plus there's a smart solution to track physical receipts using Google Photos and Gmail.
Google Pay does not allow you to enter transactions manually. To get around this limitation, you can take a photo of a physical receipt or let Google find it in your emails. This function can also automatically associate the receipts with your existing registered transactions in the application..

For this function to work, must be a Google Photos or Gmail user. You will need to give Google permission to access your Photos or Gmail inbox so it can find your receipts. Let's get started.
Open the Google Pay app on your iPhone O Android device. From the main tab “Pay”, tap your profile picture in the upper right corner. If this is the first time you use the application, you will need to log in with a Google account first.
Then, Touch “Setting”.
Now let's choose the section “Privacy & Security”.
By last, Touch “Linked transaction data”.
There are two switches on this screen. The first will allow Google Pay to find your Gmail receipts. The second will place photos of receipts in your Google Photos library. Enable one or both.
Automatically detected transactions will appear in the tab “Insights” along with other transactions. You will see a small receipt icon if it was from one of the methods you previously enabled.
That's all about it! This is a great way to make sure all your purchases are recorded so you can use Google Pay's personal finance tools..
