By default, every time you open a Mac application by clicking on it in your Dock, the app icon “Skip” briefly in an animated sequence while loading the application. If you find this annoying, Apple makes it easy to shut down. That's how.
First, click on the Apple logo in the upper left corner of the screen and select “System preferences”.
In System Preferences, click on “Dock”.
In the Dock preferences, uncheck the box next to “Animate opening apps”.
Thereafter, close System Preferences and click an application icon on your dock to open it. You will notice that it opens instantly and no longer jumps off the dock. Although it does not actually accelerate anything, this little change actually makes your Mac feel a bit faster.
