How to make Outlook for Mac show pictures by default

For reasons that I absolutely cannot understand, I decided to use Outlook on my Mac. That's when I discovered that Outlook made me click “Download images” in every email, which is really annoying. Then, explains how to make Outlook download the stupid images automatically.

The whole reason why Outlook no Image download by default is for privacy reasons; in theory, someone can find your IP address by embedding a hyperlinked image in an email you open. I would think that at least Outlook would show pictures of people in your contact list by default, but it doesn't even do it. It's just off, in all fields.

To change settings, open Preferences in the menu bar and then find the Reading entry. On the Reading page, change the security settings to “Automatically download images from the Internet” a “in the messages of my contacts”, which is probably a reasonable setup, O “in all messages” if you never want to do it. click the Download Images button again.
