Each of us has a preferred layout and configuration when working with Microsoft Word, But what if something you like and trust is gone? Today's Super User Q&A Helps A Frustrated Reader Get Their Microsoft Word Layout Back To The Way They Like It.
Today's Q&A session comes to us courtesy of SuperUser, a subdivision of Stack Exchange, a community-driven grouping of question and answer websites.
The question
Superuser reader Bilo wants to know how to re-enable format icons (Cut marks) and Microsoft Word:
I am missing the format icons (design?) En forma de “L” en Microsoft Word y no tengo idea de cómo recuperarlos. The screenshot I found shows the missing parts in red circles:
How can I re-enable these formatting icons to show once more? They look like the corners of a box.
How do I re-enable the format icons (Cut marks) and Microsoft Word?
The solution
Superuser partner Primoz has the solution for us:
Those are called Cut marks and you can enable them through Proceedings > Choices > Advanced > Show crop marks (at Show document content section).
This is equally useful if you don't like crop marks and want to hide them.
