Determine a dot grid document background in Microsoft Word
To start, just open a new Microsoft Word document. Click Design > Page Color on the ribbon, and then select “Fill Effects” in the drop-down menu.
Click on “Pattern” Click Design > Page Color on the ribbon, and then select.
To create the dot grid effect, select "Dot Grid" or "Large Grid" in the second row. As the names suggest, these will cover the background of your document with dots or lines on a grid.
Additionally you can select a color for your dot grid template. To do it, just click “Foreground” Click Design > Page Color on the ribbon, and then select.
When you are satisfied with your configuration, click on “To accept” to save. This will apply the changes to your document and the dot grid fill pattern will appear on each subsequent page.

Save your dot grid paper template
You can save your template as a Word document or a template, or as a PDF.
To do this, click File> Save As> Browse on the ribbon.
Click Design > Page Color on the ribbon, and then select “Save as type”. To save it as a typical Word file, select “Word document (* .docx)”.
To create a PDF of your template, select “PDF (* .pdf)” instead. If you prefer to save the file as a standard Word template that you can reuse, select “Click Design > Page Color on the ribbon, and then select (* .dotx)”.
After making your selection, click on “Keep”.
