If you have CD or DVD backups in ISO file format that you need to burn to disc, it's easy to do it in windows 10. We will show you how to do it.
What is an ISO file?
In simple terms, an ISO is a file that contains an exact copy of the entire contents of an optical disc. When you burn an ISO file to a blank disc, the new disk will have all the properties of the original. This includes files, folders and programs contained on the original disc.
Additionally you can mount an ISO file on your current operating system if you want to use it as a virtual CD or DVD sometime, and you can create backup copies of your own discs by creating an ISO file from them.

How to burn an ISO image to a blank disc
To burn your ISO file to a blank CD-R or DVD-R, first, insert the disc into your CD-R or DVD-R burner drive. Later, open the folder containing your ISO file in Windows File Explorer. Our example ISO file is called “Windows”, but yours is probably different.
Right click on the file and select “Burn Disc Image” in the menu that appears.
In the Windows Disc Image Burner window, select the burning drive of your disc.
If you want to be more sure that the disc will be burned correctly, Mark “Check the disc after burning”. This will do a check to verify that the contents of your disc exactly matches the ISO once it has been burned.

Next, select “Engrave”. This will start to burn the ISO file to the disc you want.
Burning times may vary, so you may want to have a drink and come back later. You can always work on something else while the disc is burning. As the record burns, you will see a progress bar showing your overall progress.
When the disc finishes recording, the bar will be full, and if he marked “To check” previously, the system will check the disk.
When all is done, the status bar will turn absolutely green and the status will show “The disc image has been successfully recorded on the disc”. Click on “To close”.
If you want to check the disk yourself, open File Explorer and open your optical disc drive. If the disk is written to a file system that Windows can read (and not in a Linux format, as an example), the individual files that made up the initial ISO image will be present here and ready to use.
If the ISO comes from a CD or DVD in your collection, the files will reflect it and it will behave like the original. If it is an ISO operating system, you can use it as an installation or rescue disk.
And that is! Eject your newly recorded disc and enjoy. If you need to burn other files to CD-R or DVD-R in Windows 10, there are also alternatives to do it. Good luck!
