Four examples of Windows wallpapers 11

If you want to change your desktop wallpaper in Windows 11 to a different embedded background image, a solid color or custom image, it's easy to do in Windows Settings. That's how.

Starting

To change your desktop background, you will need to open the Windows Settings app first. Fortunately, Microsoft left us a quick shortcut to use: right-click on the desktop and select “Personalize” in the menu that appears.

Right click on the desktop and select "Personalize".

Windows settings will open in the category “Personalization”. In the main configuration list on the right side of the window, select “Bottom”.

In Windows customization settings 11, click on "Bottom".

In Background settings, look for the option “Customize your background”. In the drop-down menu next to it, you can choose one of three options:

  • Photography: This enables you to choose an image or photograph (an image file) to use as desktop background.
  • Solid: This enables you to select a solid color for your desktop..
  • Slideshow: This option allows you to choose a folder of images to use as wallpapers that change automatically over time.

In the drop-down menu

It is important to note that the option “Image” applies only to the current desktop that is active. If you are using multiple desktops through the virtual desktops feature in Windows 11, you can determine a different image for each virtual desktop. Conversely, the alternatives “Solid” Y “Slide presentation” apply to all your virtual desktops at the same time.

  • To fit in: This stretches or compresses the image to fit the height of your screen while maintaining proper aspect linkage..
  • Stretch: This stretches or compresses the image you select to fit the screen dimensions without preserving the original aspect linkage of the image..
  • Tile: This repeats the image as a tile from left to right starting at the top left corner until it takes up the entire desktop screen space.
  • Center: This displays the image centered on your screen at its original size and aspect ratio.
  • Lapse: This option will display an image on multiple monitor desktops, encompassing them.

Select a solid color as your desktop background

If you select “Solid color” on “Customize your background”, you can select one of the pre-selected background colors from the grid of colored squares, or you can choose a custom color by clicking “See colors”.

With option

Remember that this "Solid Color" option will apply to all your virtual desktops at the same time.

Set a slideshow as your desktop background

If you select “Slide presentation” in the drop-down menu “Customize your background”, you will see options that allow you to search for a folder containing images that you want to go through in time. After choosing the folder, you can determine how often you change the image with the drop-down menu “Change image every”. You can also mix the order of the images, disable slideshow on battery power and select a setting using Fill alternatives, Adjust, To stretch (and so on) previously described.

With the & quot; slides" option, click & quot; Browse" to locate a folder of images you would like to display.

Once you have configured the desktop the way you like it, close Settings and your desktop wallpaper will stay that way until you change it again. Windows 11 includes many new and fun wallpapers to explore, So have fun!
