How to open the Control Panel in Windows 11

When you want to change settings in Windows 11, generally look for the Settings application. But the reliable Control Panel still plays an important role during many configuration tasks.. Here are several different ways to open it.

Use the start menu

One of the simplest ways to start the Control Panel is through the Start menu. To do it, click the Start button on the taskbar and type “control Panel”. Click on the icon “Control Panel” that appears in the results, and the Control Panel will start immediately.

Use the Run menu or command prompt

In the frame "Run", scribe "control" and press Enter.

You can also start the Control Panel from the Run menu. Press Windows + R on your keyboard, and when the Run window appears, scribe “control” and then click “To accept” or press Enter. Pin it to the taskbar

The next time you want to start the Control Panel, click on the taskbar icon.

Add a desktop icon

Additionally you can add a special desktop icon for the Control Panel. To do it, press windows + i to open Settings, then go to Personalization> Themes and click “Desktop Icon Settings”. In the Desktop Icon Settings window that opens, place a check mark next to “Control Panel” and then click “To accept”. The icon will appear on your desktop.
