Every Android phone and tablet has a generic name that matches the model (Pixel 5, Galaxy S20, etc.). This name appears occasionally if you connect other devices to your device. One simple thing you can do to avoid confusion is to rename your device.
A common situation where your device name can come into play is Bluetooth connections.. Let's say you are connecting your phone to your computer, and when searching for nearby devices, the name of your Android appears. If multiple people in your home have the same device, this can be confusing.
