iPhone has a handy feature called “Spotlight” which helps you search for anything on your phone. Samsung Galaxy phones have a similar feature that you may not know about. We will show you how to use it.
The idea behind “Spotlight” and Samsung's system-wide search function is to be able to find a range of things on your device from one place.. That includes apps, contacts, configurations, folders and more. It's an easy way to find something without going through apps and menus.

Samsung makes it a breeze to perform a system-wide search from anywhere. Just swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold for a second to bring up recent apps. If you are using three-button navigation, tap the recent apps button.
You will see a search bar at the top of the screen about recent apps. Write what you are looking for in this bar.
Results will start to appear below. Keep writing until you find what you are looking for. The results are divided into sections. for applications, configurations, shortcuts, searches and more. Scroll down for more results.
That's truly all there is to it. You can access this search bar at any time by opening the recent apps screen. It is always there to help you find something quickly. Android doesn't have this built-in feature, but it's nice that Samsung added it to Galaxy devices.
