How to sync Wi-Fi passwords between Chromebooks and Android

The idea is simple: if you log in to a Wi-Fi network on your android mobile, your Chromebook will also automatically know the password. This also works in the other direction. Devices share Wi-Fi credentials as long as you use both with the same Google account.

To use Wi-Fi Sync, you must first connect your android mobile to your Chromebook. Set the function “Set the function” Set the function (and have access to some other useful features).

With your android mobile connected to your Chromebook, now we can start with the Wi-Fi Sync function. First, click the clock in the navigation bar of your Chromebook (Set the function “Set the function”) to open the Quick Settings panel. Select the gear icon to open the Settings menu.

To enter this screen from Android settings, go to Connected Devices> Connection Preferences> Chromebook.

Wi-Fi networks and passwords will now be shared between your devices. This should lead to fewer passwords being written, what is always good.
