From watchOS 5, Apple Watch got the ability to mute and disable notifications directly from the Notification Center. The Deliver Silently feature works the same as it does on your iPhone. When enabled, your Apple Watch won't buzz or vibrate, but you will find the notifications when you visit the Notification Center.

If you are the type of person who only wants a subset of notifications (maybe only the really important ones) in you Apple Watch, you can also disable notifications from an application.

To start this procedure, swipe down from the watch face on your Apple Watch to reveal the Notification Center.
