Contents

The Digital Touch feature of your Apple Watch enables you to send sketches, touches or even your heartbeat to another friend who also has an Apple Watch or an iPhone. Here's how to use it.

It is better that both parties have an Apple Watch to send and receive Digital Touch messages, since recipients can to sense certain Digital Touch messages on your wrist. Even so, you can send and receive Digital Touch messages on an iPhone or iPad.

Tap the app icon “Posts”.

Select a text conversation with the contact you want to send a Digital Touch message to or press the screen and select “New message”.

Next, touch the Digital Touch button.

You will be given a blank slate to draw your Digital Touch message. The dot in the upper right corner allows you to change the color of the drawing.

You can do several different things on this screen. Drag your finger to create a drawing (as it's shown in the following). Tap the screen repeatedly at any rhythm to send those touches to your recipient (they will receive haptic feedback for every touch). Send a kiss by tapping two fingers on the screen. Send your heartbeat by tapping and holding two fingers on the screen until you see a heart (recipients receive a haptic vibration of their heartbeat). You can even show a kind of anger by touching and holding a finger until you see a flame..

To send the Digital Touch message, Touch “Ready” or just stop drawing or playing for a few moments. The message will be sent on your way after a few seconds. Your recipient can view your Digital Touch message on their iPhone or Apple Watch just like any other text message.
