If you are tired of entering your password every time you open your laptop, macOS enables you to unlock your Mac with your Apple Watch.
Despite this, to use this function, must meet certain criteria.

The rest of the procedure is as simple as checking a box and entering your system password.. First, open Security & Privacy settings in your System Preferences.
Click on the General tab and check the box that says “Allow your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac”.

Once you are successful, the option will be enabled in the Privacy and security settings.
To prove everything, put your Mac to sleep. Make sure your Apple Watch is on and close. When you activate your computer, it should tell you almost immediately that it is unlocking with your watch.
You will also receive a notification on your watch confirming that you unlocked your Mac.
If it does not work, make sure you meet all the requirements that we previously detailed. At the same time, both your Mac and your watch must be previously unlocked, which means you can't unlock your Mac if you just restarted it.
