If you are in a meeting, in a movie or show, you can prevent your Apple Watch from bothering you with notifications. Notifications can be silenced on your iPhone using the feature “Do not bother”, and you can do the same on your Apple Watch.
If the function “Do not bother” of your Apple Watch is equivalent to that of your iPhone, changing the settings on either device will change it on the other. The function “Do not bother” is reflected by default, but we will show you how to disable it in case you want to enable the feature “Do not bother” on one device and not the other.
First, we will show you how to enable “Do not bother” en su Apple Watch. If the watch face isn't showing right now, push the digital crown back in. Swipe up from the bottom of the watch face to enter the looks.
Swipe right until you get to the glimpse of “Setting”, what is the last. Tap the crescent moon icon to enable “Do not bother”.
To update: Updated Apple interface no longer shows quick settings on cards. Instead of swiping to the right, scroll down until you find the do not disturb icon (as seen below).
A short message appears saying that “Do not bother” is activated and the icon background turns purple.
Press the digital crown to return to the watch face. A crescent moon icon appears at the top of the watch face indicating that the option “Do not bother” is enabled.
By default, when you enable “Do not bother” on his watch, it is also enabled on your iPhone because the settings are reflected. If you want to configure “Do not bother” separately on each device, you can disable mirroring settings.
And “Do not bother” is enabled on your iPhone, you will see a crescent moon icon on the right side of the status bar, as it's shown in the following.
To enable or disable feature mirroring “Do not bother”, touch the icon “Watch” on your iPhone home screen.
On the left side of the screen, Touch “General”.
On the right side of the screen, Touch “Do not bother”.
If the configuration “Mirror iPhone” is enabled, the slider button is shown in green and white, as it's shown in the following.
To disable the setting “Mirror iPhone”, touch the slider button. The button circle moves to the left and the button is displayed in black and white.
Once you have disabled the setting “Mirror iPhone”, the configuration “Do not bother” must be set on each device separately. If you have set a schedule for it to be enabled “Do not bother”, The Apple Watch will not enter that schedule if the settings “Mirror iPhone” is disabled. To have the configuration of “Do not bother” linked between your watch and phone, just enable the settings “Mirror iPhone” again.
NOTE: Apple Watch doesn't show notifications once you take it off, even if the function “Do not bother” is disabled.
There are also other methods to silence, manage and hide notifications on your Apple Watch.
