Since it was introduced, the Apple Watch has gained several different modes, but it's not immediately clear when to use each. Let's look at each mode, what it does and what it doesn't, and the best time to use it.

There are now three modes available to Apple Watch users: Be quiet, Do not disturb and, The newest one, theater, seen in the image above from left to right. All three modes can be turned on and off by simply swiping up on your Apple Watch face to access the Watch Control Center and simply tapping on the icon for that mode.. This is what they do:

  • Silence mode: This mode is toggled through the bell icon and, As the name implies, simply mute the auditory and vibrating alerts on your Apple Watch. The watch face will still light up to show the notification and all notifications that happened to your watch before activating silent mode will continue to stream. At the same time, the watch face will light up if you raise your arm to look at it.

  • Do not bother: Toggle Do Not Disturb with the moon icon. Do not disturb mode mirrors Do not disturb mode on your iPhone; in fact, when you turn it on, it literally mirrors itself when activating Do Not Disturb mode on your phone. While in do not disturb mode, receive auditory and vibrating alerts on your watch. Despite this, These alerts will only come from people on your Favorite contact list. The watch face will still light up when alerted by that person, just like when I raise my wrist to look at the clock.

  • theater: The newest watch mode is a truly useful hybrid mode that is far more useful than it may immediately appear.. When you activate Theater mode by tapping the drama skins icon, change alerts on your Apple Watch in two ways. First, Silent mode is activated (the bell icon with strikethrough will light) and all auditory and vibration alerts will be disabled. In second place, wake-up wake-up and wake-up functions will be disabled.

Apparently, Theater mode was included to prevent Apple Watches from glowing in dark cinemas and disturbing nearby customers, but the function is great for any location where you want to achieve the same end: in a dark plane, a classroom or boardroom during a presentation where the lights are dimmed, and even when you try to avoid bothering yourself. If you are sleeping with your Apple Watch on and want to avoid hitting yourself or your close partner in the face with light every time you move and turn it, just activate theater mode.

With the right mode for the right time, your smartwatch will never irritate you or close people.
