How to add birthdays to contacts on iPhone

Some people have trouble remembering their friends' birthdays, coworkers and relatives. Fortunately, your iPhone can remember birthdays for you, just enter the information in the Contacts app. Here's how to do it.

First, open “Contacts (edit)”. If you can't find it, open the app “Telephone” (the icon of the green telephone receiver that you use to make calls), then touch the button “Contacts (edit)” in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

Once that “Contacts (edit)” is open, scroll through the list and select the entry for the person whose birthday you want to document. Once the person's contact card is open, touch the button “Edit” in the upper right corner of the screen.

You are now in edit mode. This is where you can add new information to your contact. Scroll down the page and tap “add birthday”.

A date selection interface will appear. Using the stylish scroll wheels, enter the person's birthday. Entering the year is optional.

Use the date wheels to enter the birthday date.

Thereafter, Touch “Ready” and you will see the full contact entry with the birthday in the listing.

To add more birthdays, Touch “Contacts (edit)” in the upper-left corner of the screen to return to the contact list. Subsequently, tap any entry you want and repeat the steps above. Happy Birthday!
