After years of using the iPhone or iPad, it's easy to end up with too many home screen pages. Moving dozens of apps takes a long time. Instead, remove all home screen pages and start your design again.
From iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, can remove all pages from home screen (previously, I could only hide them). If you want to start using the app library, this is the fastest way to get rid of all the home screen pages, except the first.

How to remove pages from the home screen
To start, long press on an empty part of your iPhone or iPad home screen. Subsequently, select the Pages button (dotted pill) at the bottom of the screen.
You will now see all the home screen pages arranged. First, tap the Checkmark button below the page you want to remove. This will hide the page.
Subsequently, tap the little minus icon in the top left corner of the page.
In the pop-up window, touch the button “Delete” to confirm.
The home screen, together with all the applications on the page, will disappear. Do not worry, apps will not be removed; will be available in the application library. Repeat this procedure for all the home screens you want to remove. You can remove all but one page from the home screen.
Now, touch the button “Ready” at the top to exit the page view of the home screen. Touch the button “Ready” once again to save the home screen layout (you can also swipe up from the Start bar or press the Start button).
And that's it, your clean and lean home screen setup is ready. Now is the time to give it an aesthetic with some custom app icons. If you wish, you can always retrieve app icons from App Library.
