There are two alternatives to disable this window shadow. You can do it by screenshot using a special keyboard shortcut, or you can use a Terminal command to disable shadows on all window screenshots in future.

Disable window shadow in screenshots via keyboard shortcut

If you want to erase the window shadow from a particular screenshot, you can use a different shortcut variation when taking a screenshot.

To take a screenshot of a window, first, use the Command keyboard shortcut + Shift + 4. The cursor will now turn into a cross. Hover over the window you want to capture and press the space bar.

The window will be selected. Now, hold down the Option key when you press the left mouse button to take the screenshot.

When you go to your Desk (or wherever you save screenshots), you will see that the screenshot has no shadow.
