When you try to do something that is not allowed on your Mac, responds with a loud and annoying alert sound. Do not worry, you can change the alert sound and its volume using System Preferences on your Mac.
To start, click on the Apple icon in the menu bar and choose the option “System preferences”.
Navigate to the “Sounds”.
Here, updates with new information using connected devices and time of day “Sound effects”, take a look at the section “Choose an alert sound”.
You can choose between 14 different sound effects. Select a sound effect to change it. We discovered that the effect “Submerge” it's a good balance between playful and relaxing.
Next, you can also reduce the volume of the alert so that the sound of the alert is not so jarring.
Projects “Alert volume”, drag the slider to the left to reduce the alert volume.
And that is. You're done. The next time you try to click a grayed-out button, you won't be surprised by the loud noise coming from your Mac's speakers (or even worse, directly on your AirPods).
