MacBook user seeing remaining battery in percentage

The battery percentage on your Mac is a statistic that you end up checking quite frequently.. But the default little battery icon in the menu bar only shows a vague picture. Next, Here's how to display your Mac's battery percentage in the menu bar.

Your Mac doesn't show the battery percentage by default, even though you can click on the battery icon to see the percentage in the drop down menu. But this is not an intuitive step.

Fortunately, you can add the battery percentage value next to the battery icon quite easily.

Click on the Apple icon in the menu bar and choose the option “System preferences”.

Select System Preferences from the Apple menu in Big Sur

Here, go to section “Dock & Menu Bar”.

Click Dock & Menu Bar en System Preferences

Now, from the sidebar, choose option “Battery”.

Here, click the check mark next to the option “Show battery percentage”.

Click Show Percentage

And ready, you will now see the battery percentage next to the battery icon in the menu bar!
