Mirroring an image is useful if you want to print a photo in an inverted perspective. Fortunately, Microsoft's suite of applications can help. Next, explains how to flip an image in a Microsoft Word document.

To mirror an image in Microsoft Word, open the word document containing the image (or insert the image by clicking Insert> Images) and then click on the image to select it.

Next, in Windows, right click on the image and, in the context menu, select “Picture format”. And Mac, you can also use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + 1.

You will now be in the tab “Effects” will open on the right side of the PowerPoint window “Picture format”, that appears on the right of the window. Here, click the arrow next to “3D Rotation” to display your content.

Next, change the degree of “X-rotation” a “180” typing it directly into the text box or pressing the up arrow to the right of the text box. Pressing the up arrow, increase grade in increments of ten.

Once Rotation X is set to 180 degrees, the selected image will be an exact mirrored copy of the original image.

You can also manually mirror an image by clicking on the image to select it and then clicking and dragging the right handle to the left.

This second method may be faster than the first, but in this way it is difficult to get the image to 180 exact degrees.

Mirroring an image is not the only photo editing tool Microsoft Word offers. You can also remove backgrounds from images, place text on a chart and more.
