Microsoft's Xbox Game Bar on Windows 10 it's a handy way to call up a useful widget overlay using the Windows keyboard shortcut + G. But not everyone needs it, and if you want to disable it (or enable it again later), all you need is a visit to Settings. That's how.
First, open Windows Settings. To do it, open the start menu and click on the little icon “gear”, the Windows pressure + i on your keyboard.
In Settings, click on “Games”.
In the settings “Xbox Game Bar”, click the switch below “Habilitar Xbox Game Bar” until it turns off. That will disable the Xbox game bar.
Thereafter, close settings. Try pressing Windows + G, and nothing will appear. Even if you press the Xbox button on an Xbox controller, nothing will happen. Xbox Game Bar has been completely disabled.
If you want to re-enable the Xbox Game Bar, revisit the section “Games” in Windows settings and put the option “Enable Xbox Game Bar” in position “Activated”.
How to disable the Xbox button in Windows 10
By default, if you have an xbox controller 360 or Xbox One connected to your Windows PC 10, pressing the Xbox button (the large circle in the center of the controller with a “x” at) the Xbox game bar will appear.
If you want to disable this, visit Windows Settings> Games, then uncheck the box next to “Open the Xbox Game Bar with this button on a controller”.
Alternatively, if you disable the Xbox game bar completely using the switch “Enable Xbox Game Bar”, the Xbox button on your controller will no longer call up the game bar. But that also disables the activation of the game bar by other methods (like windows shortcut + G). Happy game!
