Windows 10 includes a tool called Game Bar, and it has some cool features that you might not know about. You can control Spotify while you play without having to exit full screen mode. It is very useful.
Without the game bar, Controlling Spotify while gaming can get jarring because you are probably playing your game in full screen mode. If you ever want to adjust the playback, you must press Alt + Tab to do it.
The game bar includes a Spotify widget that floats over your game whenever you need it.
What you will need
The widget menu was added to the game bar in the May update 2019 Windows 10. Your machine must be running that version or a newer if you want to use the game bar.
You must also have the Spotify app for Windows installed. If you don't, Game Bar will ask you to install it when you enable the Spotify widget.

How to use Spotify in the Windows game bar 10
First, press windows + G to start the game bar. Alternatively, you can click on “Xbox Game Bar” in the Start menu.
On the toolbar of the game bar, click on the widget menu icon.
A drop-down list will appear; click on “Spotify”.
A Spotify pop-up will appear. Enter your account information and then click “Log in”.
Click on “To accept” to allow Game Bar to control Spotify and access your account.
You will now see a floating Spotify player every time you open the game bar overlay. Has playback controls and device options, as well as an expandable history of “Recently played”.
You can reopen the widget menu and then click on the star next to “Spotify” to add a shortcut to the game bar toolbar.
That is all! Now, whenever you are playing a game in full screen and want to adjust Spotify playback, just press windows + G to open the controls.
Tip: You can also click on the pin icon, and the window “Now Playing” Spotify will always appear at the top of your game or desktop.
