Windows Weather and News Taskbar Widget 10.

Microsoft knows what the Windows taskbar really needs 10: news and weather. That My People icon didn't work, but surely all Windows users want one-click access to the latest news, truth?

Microsoft is already testing this change on Windows Insider builds 10. From 6 of January of 2021, with Internal compilation 21286, people testing unstable versions of Windows 10 they will start to see the widget.

It will appear to the left of your notification area (often, but in the wrong way, call “system tray”). It will show the current weather in your area, right on the taskbar. Microsoft calls it “an integrated source of dynamic content, like news and weather, that is updated throughout the day”.

Of course, you can customize what you want to see in the feed and you can hide this widget from Weather & News, like you can hide the My People Today widget. All you have to do is right click on the taskbar and uncheck it.

Microsoft is testing variations of this feature, so it may not appear identical when it arrives on your PC. According to Microsoft's development schedule, we hope this feature reaches Windows PCs 10 stable with a major update scheduled for fall 2021 O, if Microsoft is really in a hurry, in the spring of 2021.
