If you own a laptop, Windows tablet or all-in-one PC 11, it's easy to change the brightness of the built-in screen with a couple of clicks (the touches) thanks to the Quick Settings menu or the Settings app. That's how.
How to change screen brightness with quick settings
First, click the Quick Settings button on your taskbar, which is a hidden button located where you see the Wi-Fi icons, Speaker and Drums in the far right corner.
When the Quick Settings menu appears, locate the brightness slider, that has a sun icon next to it. Click (the touch) and drag the circle on the brightness slider to increase or decrease the brightness of your built-in screen.
With a nice touch, the sun icon becomes larger or smaller depending on the brightness set by the slider. When you have the slider the way you like it, you can close the Quick Settings menu by clicking anywhere outside the menu or selecting the Quick Settings button on the taskbar again.

How to change screen brightness in Windows settings
You can also change the brightness of your built-in screen using Windows Settings.. First, launch Settings by pressing Windows + i on your keyboard. When it opens, click on “System” in the sidebar, then select “Screen”.
In the system screen settings, scroll down to section “Brightness and color”. On “Brightness”, use the slider to increase or decrease the brightness of your built-in screen.
When it's over, close Settings. Whenever you need to adjust its brightness again, revisit Settings> System> Display or use the Quick Settings menu.
If the brightness slider is dimmed
If you don't have a built-in screen (like a laptop or tablet), the screen brightness slider in Quick Settings will not be available (attenuated). Then, you will need to use the physical controls on your monitor to change the screen brightness. Check your monitor's documentation or support web portal to learn how to do this.. Good luck!
