Can Windows 11 run the same software?

Although Microsoft has been talking a lot about implementing some kind of container system that isolates traditional Windows desktop applications for security, there is no indication that something like this is happening here.

Windows 11 can run the same applications as Windows 10.

Even better: the new Microsoft Store will allow traditional Win32 desktop applications and other software, making classic Windows software work even better on the new version of Windows. Microsoft is not creating a totally new application platform like “Metro” in Windows 8 O “UWP” in Windows 10 this time.

At the same time of that, Windows 11 can run android apps.

What's new in Windows 11?

Windows 11 includes some really useful new features to help you multitask with multiple windows and even work with multiple monitors. The Start menu has been simplified and live tiles have been removed.

Updates keep getting better. Updates will be a 40% smaller and Windows will install them in the background. At the same time, there will only be one big windows update 11 by year, not two big updates per year, as it happened with Windows 10.

The taskbar has a widget panel and Microsoft is integrating Microsoft Teams into the taskbar for easy chatting and calling. (Clearly, Skype hasn't done so well under Microsoft ownership).

We have already mentioned the improvements in the Windows Microsoft Store 11, which are huge: finally, all the windows apps you want can be part of the store. You can even install Android applications from the Store.

There are also some improvements for PC games. Auto HDR and DirectStorage make their way from Xbox Series X to PC, improving graphics in many older games and optimizing load times in newer games on powerful PCs.

What did Microsoft remove from Windows 11?

New Windows Start menu 11.

A range of Windows features are being removed 11. These are some of the most important:

The taskbar is changing and a range of alternatives are being removed. As an example, you can no longer move the taskbar to another edge of the screen; should always be aligned at the bottom. You also can't enable window labels on the taskbar.

The Start menu is drastically simplified. The dynamic mosaics are gone, effectively replaced by widgets in the Widgets panel. You cannot name pinned groups or app folders in the Start menu.

Cortana is no longer pinned to the taskbar by default, and Cortana will no longer talk to you throughout the PC setup procedure.

There are many other changes and Microsoft has a list of features removed. Despite this, usually, functions being removed are things you probably won't miss. (Bye, windows timeline!)
